How Effective is Liposuction?

Lipo Laser

Next to breast augmentation, the procedure known as liposuction is one of the most common forms of cosmetic surgery in the USA. This is a surgical procedure, that will remove the extra fat from your body that is not responsive to diet/exercise. One of the most common forms of liposuction is known as Lipo Melt.

When you go in for lipo, the surgeon will put you under anesthesia. Then, he will insert a small instrument between your skin and muscle and remove the fat using suction. In the process of lipo known as tumescent, a solution may be injected first to facilitate the removal of the fat and help with the recovery process. Another common technique used is ultrasound-assisted. This is when the fat is liquefied before it is sucked out.

Liposuction is a procedure that is typically used to enhance your appearance. After all, it enhances your appearance by getting rid of the fat and contouring/toning your “problem” areas such as thighs or jawline. You must be warned that liposuction is not meant to be a weight loss method. The main reason that most people choose this procedure is because it targets problem areas and enhances appearance.

In most cases, liposuction will remove about 10 pounds of fat- not usually any more than that. While it’s true that you may end up gaining weight if you don’t do what you’re told to after the procedure you must be aware that since the fat cells are being removed, you’re not likely to gain it in the same areas. If you gain weight after you go through lipo, it will most likely be in a different area of your body. Therefore, when you have lipo, you must make sure that you maintain a healthy and active lifestyle in order to maintain your results.

One thing you must keep in mind that results vary from one person to the next when you use Lipo Melt. Just because it worked for your best friend, it may not necessarily work for you.
